Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Brings Championship Legacy to Silverstone Festival
The iconic Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team is set to take centre stage at this summer’s Silverstone Festival (22–24 August), with an unmissable display that celebrates its record-breaking F1 legacy. As the sport commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship, the team will honour its dominance with a stunning showcase of championship-winning machines and fan-first interactive experiences.
Since re-entering Formula 1 in 2010, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS has rewritten the record books—securing eight consecutive Constructors’ Championships and seven back-to-back Drivers’ titles. Six of those titles were claimed by Lewis Hamilton, with the seventh taken by Nico Rosberg in 2016.
Iconic F1 Cars Featured in World Champions Collection
Two of Mercedes’ most celebrated cars will be on display as part of the World Champions Collection—a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of F1 machines driven by all 34 world champions to date. Headlining the collection are Hamilton’s dominant 2020 W11 EQ Power+ and Rosberg’s 2016 title-winning W07 Hybrid, giving fans a rare chance to witness the evolution of championship-winning engineering.
Fan Zone to Showcase the Full Spectrum of Mercedes’ F1 Era
Beyond the champions’ garage, the Fan Zone will chart Mercedes’ modern F1 journey from 2010 to 2025, including:
- Michael Schumacher’s 2010 Mercedes MGP W01
- Lewis Hamilton’s 2017 title-winning W08 EQ Power+
- Valtteri Bottas’ 2018 W09 EQ Power+
- George Russell’s current 2025 W16 E Performance
This immersive timeline offers fans a deep dive into the team’s 15-year stint at the forefront of global motorsport.
Experience the Thrill: Pit-Stop Challenge and More
Adding to the excitement, the team is also bringing a hands-on pit-stop challenge, where visitors can test their speed and precision under the guidance of real Mercedes crew members. Featuring an actual F1 car, the experience is open to groups of six on a first-come, first-served basis across all three days of the Festival.
“The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team has always been a fantastic supporter of Silverstone Festival,” said Nick Wigley, Event Director. “Their extended involvement this year, especially in support of the World Champions Collection and Fan Zone, will elevate the celebrations.”
“Given our close proximity to Silverstone, it’s always a pleasure to support this amazing event,” added Bradley Lord, Team Representative, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team. “This is a fantastic opportunity for fans to engage with our rich history and experience the spirit of our team firsthand.”
F1 Heritage, Family Fun and Festival Vibes
This year’s Silverstone Festival 2025 offers a rare treat for Formula 1 fans, with no Grand Prix scheduled during the weekend. Visitors can fully immerse themselves in motorsport heritage at the birthplace of the championship. Access to both the World Champions Collection and Fan Zone is included with Festival admission, along with entry to the award-winning Silverstone Museum, which also honours the circuit’s historic F1 roots.
