Kia India has announced a significant leap forward in electric vehicle (EV) mobility with the launch of a comprehensive EV ecosystem ahead of the debut of its first made-in-India electric car, the Kia Carens Clavis EV. This end-to-end ecosystem aims to make EV ownership in India more practical, reliable, and convenient for customers across the country.

K-Charge Platform: 11,000+ Charging Points and Growing

To address major challenges in EV adoption—such as charging accessibility and range anxiety—Kia has introduced K-Charge, a unified digital charging platform integrated within the MyKia app. In partnership with 18 leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs), the network already includes 11,000+ EV charging stations across India, covering both urban centers and highway corridors.

Kia aims to expand this charging infrastructure to 20,000+ points by mid-2026, strengthening its commitment to the EV transition.

EV Route Planner and Seamless Charging Experience

Kia’s new EV Route Planner, available via the MyKia app and the official Kia India website, enhances the charging experience by allowing users to:

  • Locate nearby EV chargers
  • View real-time slot availability
  • Make payments directly within the app

This integrated system eliminates the need for third-party apps, streamlining EV travel planning for both daily commutes and long-distance trips.

EV-Ready Dealerships and Fast-Charging Infrastructure

To support after-sales service and maintenance, Kia India has equipped over 250 EV-ready service centersnationwide. These workshops feature dedicated EV tools, certified technicians, and high-voltage safety protocols.

Additionally, over 100 Kia dealerships are now fitted with DC fast chargers ranging from 60kW to 240kW, allowing for quick top-ups during showroom or service visits.

Advanced Home Charging Solutions

Kia also provides flexible home charging options with 7.4kW and 11kW AC chargers, delivering fast, reliable, and safe EV charging at home—surpassing many other mass-market EV brands in India.

Kia’s EV Vision: Confidence, Convenience, and Sustainability

Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer at Kia India, shared the company’s broader vision:

“Our focus has always been on delivering innovation that makes a real difference. With our comprehensive EV ecosystem now in place, we are empowering customers to experience electric mobility with ease and confidence.”

Kia’s holistic approach—interlinking vehicles, charging infrastructure, digital platforms, and expert support—positions the brand as a key enabler in India’s transition to sustainable mobility.

Global Leadership in Electric Vehicles

Kia has established itself as a global leader in EV technology:

  • The Kia EV6 was crowned World Performance Car of the Year 2023
  • The Kia EV9 and EV3 both earned World Car of the Year titles, highlighting the brand’s design and innovation excellence

Now, with the Carens Clavis EV, Kia brings this global expertise to Indian roads—offering a future-ready, connected, and sustainable EV experience tailored to local needs.
